Mayo Clinic exploring blockchain EHR use cases with UK startup

London-based startup Medicalchain has signed a working agreement with the Mayo Clinic to explore the potential of distributed ledger initiatives within the health system. The company’s blockchain platform aims to securely store electronic health records, improving security, data fragmentation and patient engagement. Medicalchain also argues that blockchain could be used to improve medical education, making it easier for educators to track their impact.
