‘Massive breach’: Social security numbers, health info and much more stolen in Hoboken cyberattack

The cyberattack on Hoboken City in November by Russia-linked ransomware group ThreeAM (also known as 3AM) resulted in the theft of personal and sensitive information including social security numbers, driver’s licenses, and health data from city workers and residents. The stolen data, which dates back to 1987, encompasses every city department. City residents who applied for rental assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic were also affected.
