Massive botnet that appeared overnight is delivering record-size DDoSes

A network botnet named Eleven11bot, comprising approximately 30,000 webcams and video recorders primarily in the US, has been found to be the source of the largest denial-of-service (DoS) attack ever experienced, according to a Nokia researcher. The botnet, discovered in late February, delivers data by the terabits per second in volumetric DoS attacks that consume all available bandwidth.
