Man pleads guilty to stealing former coworker’s identity for 30 years

Iowa health system executive, Matthew Kierans, has admitted to stealing a former coworker’s identity for more than three decades, leading to the coworker’s wrongful arrest and imprisonment for identity theft. Kierans used the stolen identity to secure a job and commit fraud, acquiring millions in debt. He could face up to 32 years in prison and has to pay a $1.25 million fine.
