Malware Increasingly Targeting Banking Apps

Dallas-based cybersecurity firm, Zimperium, warned in its annual report of the increasing threat from malware attacks on mobile banking apps. The report revealed that last year, 29 malware families targeted 1,800 banking applications across 61 countries. The US saw the highest number of attacks, followed by the UK and Italy, with traditional banking apps remaining the prime target.
