The official website for RVTools, a utility for analyzing VMware vSphere environments, has been hacked and manipulated to distribute a malware-infected installer. Security researcher Aidan Leon revealed the nefarious activity comes from cybercriminals who typically use similar websites and malicious ads to trick victims into downloading harmful versions of the software. VirusTotal flagged a malware loader named Bumblebee within the infected installer.
