Malicious PirateFi game infects Steam users with Vidar malware

The free-to-play game PirateFi, available on the Steam store for a week in February, was found to distribute the Vidar infostealing malware to its users. It was downloaded by up to 1,500 people before it was identified. The Steam distribution service is now advising affected users to reinstall Windows and change all potentially affected passwords.
