Two London-based hospital trusts have ceased all non-emergency operations and blood tests due to a serious ransomware attack. The cyberattack, targeting King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, compromised the pathology systems, impacting tens of thousands of patients. The National Cyber Security Centre is currently examining the incident, which has caused blood test disruption and could take months to resolve.
