Canadian firm London Drugs has denied buying its way off of Lockbit’s dark web site following a cyber attack. Although the company said customer and staff data was not affected, it later admitted that office files, which possibly included staff details, may have been compromised. The company called LockBit’s $25m ransom “out of proportion”. The ransomware group has been pursued recently by law enforcement agencies.
