LogMeIn Remote Access Abused in Targeted System Compromise

A cyberattack campaign has been exposed which uses LogMeIn Resolve remote access software to gain control over user systems. The attack starts with a spam email masquerading as an overdue invoice contained in a malicious PDF. Upon opening, a prompt to update Adobe Acrobat Reader initiates a silent installation of the malware. Once installed, attackers gain full access to the system, enabling them to command and extract data. Experts have highlighted the danger of social engineering tactics and misuse of legitimate IT tools.
