LockBit Blamed, Affirm Users Impacted

The personal data of Affirm cardholders may have been compromised due to a cybersecurity breach at Evolve Bank. The breach involved the illegal release of customer data on the dark web. Evolve Bank has confirmed the incident was a ransomware attack by the criminal organisation LockBit. The compromised data includes names, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, and contact details. Affirm confirmed its systems remain secure, and the company will directly notify Affirm cardholders affected by the breach.
