LightSpy Expands to 100+ Commands, Increasing Control Over Windows, macOS, Linux, and Mobile

The LightSpy malware, first identified in 2020, has been updated to target social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram for data extraction. The updated spyware also has an expanded command list for operational control, new Windows-specific plugins, and the capability for remote control of infected mobile devices. It specifically aims to extract private messages, contact lists, and account metadata. Additionally, an Android malware, SpyLend, disguised as a financial app, has been engaging in predatory lending and extortion against Indian users.
