It points out that ransomware attacks can hamper access to vital medical resources, causing severe damage. The report reveals that strokes and cardiac arrests increased significantly during hospital cyberattacks, and survival rates reduced drastically. The healthcare sector, one of the most targeted by ransomware attacks, needs to urgently improve cybersecurity, with measures including increased budget allocation, staff training, and hiring cybersecurity specialists.
