In April 2023, Remy Ra St. Felix targeted a 76-year-old couple for a cryptocurrency robbery. The couple, residing in Durham, North Carolina, were identified as potential victims through a hacked email account. St. Felix and associate Elmer Castro cosplayed as construction workers to earn the couple’s trust before they bound the pair and threatened to mutilate and kill them if they didn’t cooperate. They then used remote-control software to facilitate the heist.
