Australia’s Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil will outline a six-part cybersecurity strategy. The planks include stopping the sale of cyber-insecure products, educating individuals and small businesses, forming collaborations between key entities, enhancing critical infrastructure, boosting local enterprise and skills, and working with international governments. CEO of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Joseph Longo, emphasised that companies should have a risk-management plan, add resilience measures, and not blame third-party suppliers for breaches.
