Las Vegas CIO doubles down on AI and endpoint security to protect Sin City

Michael Sherwood, CITO for Las Vegas, is using AI and machine learning to bolster the city’s cybersecurity, utilising managed detection and response services and maintaining partnerships with companies like CrowdStrike, Darktrace and Dell. Sherwood is also leading an open-source data sharing initiative with other cities, universities and think tanks to foster innovation, and is particularly focused on protecting data and infrastructure during high-profile events, such as the 2024 Super Bowl.
