‘Large volume’ of data stolen from NHS Dumfries and Galloway published on dark web | UK News

A ransomware group has released a substantial amount of data stolen from Scotland’s NHS Dumfries and Galloway on the dark web. The data comprises patient and staff information. Julie White, the health board’s CEO, labelled the act as “utterly abhorrent”. The Scottish government stated that the breach remained contained to NHS Dumfries and Galloway. Police Scotland continues to investigate.
