Labour party members in Burnley quit over Keir Starmer’s stance on Gaza conflict

Two Labour councillors resigned over the party’s stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict. The leaders of Blackburn and Darwen Council expressed their disappointment over the resignations, which were prompted by their perceived lack of action from the Labour leadership to call for a ceasefire and condemn the violence against Palestinian civilians. The councillors accused Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer of failing to demand a ceasefire or condemn the violence.
