Kidney Dialysis Provider DaVita Hit by Ransomware Attack

Denver-based dialysis provider, DaVita, has revealed that it was hit by a ransomware attack on April 12. The company is working with cybersecurity professionals to assess and remediate the incident, and has reported the matter to law enforcement. It comes after a US unit of rival firm, Fresenius Medical Care, was attacked in 2023, with medical records of 500,000 patients stolen.
