Joint Commission intros new Telehealth Accreditation Program

The Joint Commission has launched a Telehealth Accreditation Program to help healthcare organizations provide safer and higher-quality virtual care. It sets standards for information management, patient identification, medication management, and more. The program also focuses on the use of telehealth platforms, equipment, and devices. The initiative will also replace existing technology accreditations in the Joint Commission’s Ambulatory Health Care and Behavioral Health Care programs.
