JN.1 prevalence, by state

The Omicron subvariant JN.1 has been identified in at least 37 US states and is now dominant, accounting for an estimated 44% of COVID-19 cases as of December 18th, a significant increase from just 7.5% in November. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that JN.1 does not present a higher public health risk than other variants.
