Google removed the popular EditThisCookie extension, which has 3 million users, from its Chrome Web Store due to its lack of support for Manifest V3. Meanwhile, it failed to remove a copycat malware extension, EditThisCookies®. Also, Windows 11 users are seeing pop-up ads for Xbox PC Game Pass, a Honey-affiliated ad-blocker was involved in a code scandal, and tech company ESET recommends switching to Linux. Furthermore, hackers have breached cybersecurity firm Cyberhaven and injected malware into its Chrome extension.
