Luxury automobile manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), has allegedly been targeted in a cybersecurity attack, with threat actor “Rey” publicising the company’s sensitive internal documents and employee data on hacking forum BreachForums. The alarmed leak risks damaging the company’s competitive edge and exposes employees to potential identity theft and targeted cyberattacks. JLR has not yet responded to the reported breach.
