Chinese hackers are using Trojans linked to an advanced malware family to exploit a repaired vulnerability in Ivanti Connect Secure appliances. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has warned that the malware, dubbed “Resurge”, contains rootkit, dropper, backdoor, bootkit, proxy, and tunneler capabilities. It is said to be an upgrade of a previous malware variant, Spawnchimera.
