IT security leaders still told to keep data breaches quiet, study finds

Around 40% of IT professionals in the US and Western Europe are instructed to keep cyber breaches a secret despite knowing the incidents should be disclosed, according to a report by Bitdefender. The problem is worse in the US, where 70% of security professionals report being asked to keep quiet about breaches.
