Is the Federated Data Platform too expensive to cancel?

An expensive plan to create a new fighter plane in the 1960s led to massive financial loss for the government. Similar circumstances could arise with the development of the Federated Data Platform (FDP), with a cost of nearly $500 million, unless there is clarity around FDP’s usage and purpose. Joe McDonald predicts that the contract with FDP will, however, likely push ahead and be awarded to Palantir due to its high political cost.
