Dublin cybersecurity researcher, Aaron Costello, discovered a leak of 1.1 million NHS employee records due to improperly configured settings in Microsoft Power Pages, a widely-used software platform. Costello warned that the issue is systemic across all sectors, including government entities. He called for increased cybersecurity funding, better understanding of access controls for software as a service (SaaS) applications, and a national compliance baseline for security standards.
