Iranian-backed cyberattackers have struck Israeli tech companies and educational inst

An Iran-linked group, ‘Agonizing Serpens’, has been conducting cyberattacks on Israeli educational institutes and tech companies since January 2023, escalating following the incident in October where over 1,400 Israelis were killed by Hamas. Cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks reports the hackers are stealing, publishing and deleting sensitive data, aiming to sow panic and damage reputations, as well as causing destruction by erasing information. No non-Israeli targets have been identified.
