The Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) cybersecurity system suffered a data breach compromising employees’ personal information. The breach occurred in a federally approved vendor system running the INL’s cloud HR services. The laboratory has responded by taking measures to protect further employee data and is working with federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency.
