Internet of Things to ‘enormously expand’ kinds of cyberattacks hospitals suffer, economist says

The economics of cybersecurity in the healthcare industry is not just about money, but about making the best decisions to protect an organization’s ability to create value, according to Scott Borg, chief economist at the US Cyber Consequences Unit. Healthcare cybersecurity executives need to understand how the systems that protect assets create value and prioritize their efforts accordingly. They also need to consider how attackers can benefit from different types of attacks, particularly with the rise of the Internet of Things.
