The Internet Archive, a digital library storing historical web pages, was struck by a series of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks reportedly by pro-Palestinian hacker group SN_BLACKMETA. The cyberattack, which started on Tuesday, exposed data of millions of users, led to the defacing of the site and a breach of usernames, emails and passwords. The organisation is upgrading its security in response while confirming that the stored data was not corrupted.
