The cybercrime group Interlock ransomware has reportedly stolen 20TB of sensitive patient data from US healthcare provider, DaVita. The group, which has already released 1.5TB of the data, is claiming responsibility for the cyberattack, and is offering the rest for sale. The attack, which reportedly occurred on 12 April, disrupted DaVita’s operations, with the company offering kidney dialysis treatment to over 281,100 patients worldwide.
