Cybersecurity firm ESET reported a 369% increase in detections of the Lumma Stealer infostealer malware in the second half of 2024. The malware targets two-factor authentication (2FA) browser extensions, user credentials, and cryptocurrency wallets. ESET also noted that the Agent Tesla malware has been replaced by Formbook while RansomHub ransomware has increased dominance after other ransomware was taken down.
