Inferno Drainer, a defunct malware scam, created over 16,000 unique malicious domains, luring users into connecting their cryptocurrency wallets with attackers’ infrastructure and approving transactions. The scam, operational from November 2022 to November 2023, netted over $87m from over 137,000 victims. Cybersecurity firm Group-IB warns of more sophisticated similar scams in the future, following the success of Inferno Drainer, dubbing 2024 the “year of the drainer.”
CDC issues warning over recalled eggs sold in three states
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a warning against recalled eggs linked to 24 hospitalizations due to salmonella infection. The eggs,
