Individual notices starting to go out about PowerSchool data breach

Canadian school boards have been hit by a cyber attack on PowerSchool, a cloud-based software provider that manages student information. Personal data from 1995 onwards, including names, addresses, and medical notes of 270,000 students and over 14,000 teachers, was accessed. Some social insurance numbers were also involved. Those affected will have access to free identity and credit monitoring for two years, along with a call centre for queries.
