The Indian healthcare sector experiences an average of 6,935 cyberattacks per week, far higher than the global figure of 1,821 attacks per organisation, according to a report by Check Point Software Technologies. The research also showed Indian organisations were targeted 2,924 times per week, compared to 1,401 global attacks. Alongside healthcare, other major target areas included education and consulting. Recommendations for reducing risk included regular software updates, staff training and installing secure software.
