Indian healthcare organisations were the most heavily targeted sector by cyberattacks, with an average 8,614 attacks per week, according to Check Point Software Technologies. Comparatively, education/research and government/military organisations experienced 7,983 and 4,731 attacks weekly. Also notable was the increasing use of AI, especially generative AI, in cyberattacks. Internationally, cyberattacks increased 44% from the previous year, and were increasingly long-term campaigns seeking to destabilize and erode trust.
