Indian grocery-delivery startup, KiranaPro, confirmed a hacking incident that wiped out its data, including its app code and sensitive customer information. The company’s 55,000 customer base is now unable to place orders. The company believes the hack happened via a former employee’s account. Efforts to track the hackers and take legal action against these former employees are underway. The company operates on the Indian Government’s digital commerce platform and offers users a voice-based interface to order groceries.
