Increasing applications of robotic surgical systems across Asia and more briefs

Amrita Hospital in Kochi, India, is using a robotic gait trainer called G-Gaiter, developed by Gen Robotics, to assist brain and spinal injury patients’ rehabilitation. Meanwhile, surgeons at the University of Hong Kong have performed the area’s first robot-assisted spine surgeries. In Japan, an online directory of birth clinics has been launched by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare. In India, a research project has collected health data from 10,000 volunteers for a chronic disease risk prediction model.
