Inconsistent security strategies fuel third-party threats

Nearly half (47%) of businesses have undergone a data breach or cyberattack involving third-party network access over the last year, according to a study by Imprivata and the Ponemon Institute. A majority (64%) of surveyed IT security workers expect such breaches to increase or stay at current levels. Despite rising awareness of third-party access risks, efforts to address them are hindered by immature and inconsistent security strategies.
