Inappropriate Texts and A Caution

Married NHS therapist Alicia Hing’s sexually suggestive texts to a male patient with severe spinal injuries led to her suspension from Stoke Mandeville hospital. Sending flirtatious messages, photos and degrading remarks about another patient, Hing claimed her messages were misconstrued. Despite the breach of professional boundaries, she was given a 12-month caution by the Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service.
