In conversation with Sandy Gillies, CEO of the Western Qld PHN

Before becoming CEO of the Western Queensland Primary Health Network, Sandy Gillies experienced firsthand the health challenges of rural Australians. The First Nations woman is committed to enhancing health equity and changing ingrained healthcare systems to better serve remote communities. Gillies and her team aim to shift to value-based health care, improving patient outcomes based on their needs. Despite this taking a generation, Gillies is confident that working with communities can bring about change.
