Cybersecurity researchers have identified a sophisticated spyware called KoSpy that hides within popular Android applications. Capable of hiding in utility applications, the malware tracks location, records phone calls, captures screenshots and accesses private messages. Five apps have been found to contain this malware so far — Phone Manager, File Manager, Smart Manager, Kakao Security, and Software Update Utility. Android users are advised to check their devices and remove compromised apps to protect their personal information.
