IBM launches blockchain network to bolster medical supply chain during COVID-19

IBM has launched Rapid Supplier Connect, a blockchain-based network designed to help healthcare organizations find alternative suppliers and address equipment shortages during the pandemic. Northwell Health and the Worldwide Supply Chain Federation have already joined the network. The initiative aims to connect members to a broader range of suppliers who have reoriented their processes to produce personal protective equipment. IBM is using the blockchain-based Trust Your Supplier identity platform for qualification and identification. The tool will be available at no cost through August to qualified buyers and suppliers in the US and Canada.
