IBM is alerting customers that their personal data may have been compromised in a data breach on the Janssen CarePath patient support program. The breach, which gave unauthorized access to personal information including names, health insurance data, and medical information, allegedly took place on 2 August. IBM is offering free credit monitoring services for a year to affected users. The number of affected individuals is still unknown, it is noted that 1.16 million patients were helped through CarePath in 2022.
