How should I handle a program that suddenly appeared on my PC?

If you see an unfamiliar icon on your desktop, it might be malware or a hacker. If this program is unrecognized by anyone who uses your computer, look for signs such as slow performance, popping ads, and excess data usage. To remove it, for Windows, click on the Start menu to find the app, right-click its icon and choose Uninstall. For Macs, click the Finder icon, followed by Applications, then drag the app icon into the Trash can and Empty it. This will ensure your device remains secure.
