How Remote Monitoring Can Help Improve Care for Chronic-Disease Patients

Utica Park Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma has introduced a remote patient monitoring (RPM) program, Cadence. The program sees patients with chronic conditions, like heart failure, Type 2 diabetes or hypertension, use mobile devices to monitor their health from home, with data auto-uploaded for review by medical professionals. The system allows for easier medication management and reduces office visits. Patients appreciate this technology because it offers closer oversight of their health. The clinic, which is monitoring over 1,400 patients remotely, said the RPM offers a more accurate and comprehensive illustration of a patient’s wellbeing.
