Gold Coast Health (GCH) in Queensland has introduced a digital tool for chronic disease patients. The General Medicine-Rapid Access Service (G-RAS) enables patients to contact their doctor for follow-ups through a scan of a QR code, thereby allowing secure two-way messaging and voice or video calls. The service is expected to help reduce up to 2,000 unplanned emergency department visits every year.
