The hospital has resorted to using handwritten notes and faxes after being knocked offline. Patients are having to pick up prescriptions and test results in person. Ransomware attacks are simple for hackers to conduct and can result in them securing funds from businesses. The FBI and Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the attack.
