Security standards organization HITRUST has introduced new tools and capabilities to help healthcare organizations improve their security assessments and risk mitigation strategies. These include an automated quality verification tool, updated maturity scoring models, and a board subcommittee to oversee HITRUST’s CSF Assurance Program. HITRUST has also released Assurance Advisories with new assessment scoring rubrics and control maturity weightings. The organization’s goal is to provide centralized assurance and compliance, improve consistency and reliability of reports, and enable continuous improvement to its CSF Assurance Program.
